Dianne Flatt joins Epilepsy Action’s senior management team to head up fundraising for the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation.
She joins from the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity where she was head of fundraising development.
As Epilepsy Action’s fundraising manager, Dianne’s remit includes developing new opportunities to raise money to help people living with the condition, as well as strengthening the fundraising base of the organisation.
Nine out of ten MPs don't know how many people in the UK have epilepsy. This is despite the fact that it is the most common serious neurological condition, affecting 456,000 UK residents. MPs' lack of awareness has been revealed today by national charity Epilepsy Action, as part of a campaign to mark National Epilepsy Week 2008 (May 18-25).
Information about epilepsy is being distributed to 25,000 pharmacists this week, thanks to a joint project between Epilepsy Action and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB).
The guidance document has been produced to ensure pharmacists have the most up to date information about the complex condition. This will enable them to give people with epilepsy appropriate advice and support.
