Melanie Hill has been appointed Public Relations and Campaigns Manager at Epilepsy Action.
The charity, the UK’s largest member led epilepsy organisation, directly helped over 660,000 people last year, through its range of services.
Melanie previously worked as a Media and PR Officer for West Yorkshire Police and before that spent seven years as a journalist.
Schoolchildren nationwide are being encouraged to put pen to paper and join celebrities including comedian Ricky Gervais and TV presenter Ainsley Harriett in aid of the fifth National Doodle Day
On Friday March 7, pupils and teachers will take part in the event to raise funds for Epilepsy Action and the Neurofibromatosis Association. Prizes for this year’s event include over £1000 worth of stationary products kindly donated by BIC!
Dr Hilary Jones, GP and media doctor, presents First aid for seizures, a new DVD released by the charity Epilepsy Action.
The DVD, produced in conjunction with West Yorkshire Police, informs viewers how to administer first aid in the case of a seizure. It takes a practical approach, combining Dr Hilary’s clear narrative style with role play to discuss epilepsy, its causes and different seizure types, as well as first aid techniques.
