Epilepsy Action Branch Member Of The Year Award in Wigan

Kevin Whittle, stalwart of the Wigan Branch of Epilepsy Action, has won a national award in recognition of his work for the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity.

The Epilepsy Action Branch Member of the Year Award will be presented to Kevin by Dr Helen Caswell, an Epilepsy Action trustee. The presentation will take place on Friday 1 June from 7.45pm to 10.00pm, at Tippings Arms, 115 Poolstock Lane, Wigan, Lancashire.

Rochdale woman takes on 10k challenge for epilepsy charity

A Rochdale woman, who has epilepsy, is preparing to lace up her running shoes to complete this year’s Bupa Great Manchester Run.  Hannah Gayne will attempt the challenging 10k run on Sunday 20 May to raise vital funds for national charity Epilepsy Action. The charity provides advice and support to the 600,000 people with epilepsy in the UK. Hannah will also be raising money for Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People.
