Reddish woman goes the extra mile for epilepsy charity

A Reddish woman, whose dad has epilepsy, is taking part in the Bupa Great Manchester Run. Michelle Potter will be raising vital funds for Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity.

Michelle is taking part because her dad was diagnosed with epilepsy almost 10 years ago. Michelle will join others to attempt the challenging 10k run on Sunday 16 May, which starts on Portland Street and finishes on Deansgate.

Buxton classical concert for epilepsy charity

The High Peak Orchestra is hosting a classical concert in Buxton to raise vital funds to support the Stockport Branch of national charity, Epilepsy Action.

The orchestra will perform music composed by Beethoven, Mozart and Parry at the concert on Saturday 5 December at St John's Church, Buxton. Tickets cost £7 and £6 for concessions, with all proceeds going to Epilepsy Action. The money raised will help to support people living with epilepsy in the area.
