Manchester orchestra performs sweet symphony for epilepsy charity

The South Manchester branch of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is hosting a classical concert to raise vital funds to support people living with epilepsy in the area. 

The Manchester Beethoven Orchestra will perform music composed by Rossini, Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky at the concert on Saturday 6 June. The evening is free to attend and donations for Epilepsy Action are welcome.

Epilepsy open meeting in Pendle

The Pendle branch of Epilepsy Action is to hold a meeting on Monday 11 May, to support people affected by epilepsy in the area.

The meeting will run from 7.30pm to 9.00pm at the Marsden Resource Centre, Rigby Street, Nelson and is open to anyone with an interest in epilepsy.

Speaking at the meeting will be Carrie Walker, who has recently been appointed as an epilepsy specialist nurse to work with GP practices in Pendle.

Epilepsy conference in Chester

National charity, Epilepsy Action, is to hold an informative conference on Saturday 9 May at the Ramada Jarvis Chester, Whitchurch Road, Chistleton.

The conference, themed ‘Epilepsy and Lifestyle’, will take place from 9.30am to 4.30pm, and is open to anyone with an interest in epilepsy.
