Michael Butcher, lecturer in equine studies, riding instructor and yard manager at Bowlings Riding Centre has been honoured with an Epilepsy Action Gold Award for Education for helping to improve the lives of people with epilepsy.
Mariamne Briggs from Edinburgh will be taking on the challenge of a lifetime in October by trekking the Great Wall of China in aid of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s leading member-led epilepsy charity.
Maud McAuley, a member of the Newry & Banbridge Branch of Epilepsy Action, has won a national award in recognition of her work for the UK’s leading epilepsy charity.
The Epilepsy Action Branch Member of the Year Award will be presented to the Newry & Banbridge secretary, Maud, in a ceremony held at the branch meeting on Thursday, May 31 2007 at 7.30 pm at the Ballybot Centre, Cornmarket, Newry.
