Mother takes on Paris Marathon for charity

Alison Quilter from Felixstowe will be power walking the Paris Marathon on Sunday 5 April in aid of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation.

Alison will be joining 37,000 participants in this 26.2 mile challenge through the streets of Paris. The route passes some fabulous Paris landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral and Place de la Bastille.

Portreath To Penzance For Epilepsy Charity

A woman from Watford who completed an eight-day sponsored walk from Portreath to Penzance on September 14-21 has raised over £800 for Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation.

Karen Eldridge trekked approximately 58 miles along a route of the South West Coast Path to raise awareness of epilepsy and help support the 456,000 people living with the condition in the UK. The route included rocky and challenging areas, while also taking in sights such as the stunning Lands End.

“Epilepsy The Options” In Southampton

Epilepsy Action is to hold an information packed seminar on Saturday September 13 with a view to supporting people affected by epilepsy in the area.

The seminar will run from 1.00pm – 4.30pm in The Lecture Theatre at Southampton Guildhall, West Marlands Road. “Epilepsy the Options” is open to everyone with an interest in epilepsy and is aimed at providing those affected by the condition with up-to-date advice and information.
