Epilepsy Action joins Grays Beach Riverside Park for festival fun

The Basildon and Thurrock Branch of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is joining the Thurrock Festival on 23 and 24 July. 

The festival venue is at the Grays Riverside Beach Park, Grays from 11am until 9pm on Saturday and until 8pm on Sunday. Epilepsy Action will be on hand to give information between 11am and 6pm each day. During the evening sessions, there will be a variety of music acts.

Canterbury college wins national doodling award

Staff and students at Canterbury College have beaten off competition from 220 other schools and colleges to be crowned category winners of National Doodle Day 2011. 

Students were encouraged to draw a doodle and submit it into the annual National Doodle Day competition. The competition gives schools and colleges the chance to win vouchers to spend on equipment and resources while also raising money for national charity Epilepsy Action.

Dorking woman pulls on walking shoes for epilepsy charity

A Dorking woman is preparing to pull on her walking shoes to support Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity.

Gillian McCluskey has organised an Epilepsy Action Wonga Walk between Leatherhead and Dorking at 1.30pm on Sunday 15 May. Walkers can choose from three, five and 10 mile walks, starting and finishing at Bockett’s Farm, Fetcham. Gillian chose to organise the Wonga Walk event to bring the community together and involve people of all ages.
