Kidsgrove man named trustee for national epilepsy charity

A Kidsgrove man has been elected as a trustee of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity.

John Bostock was elected to the Epilepsy Action's Council of Management on 13 June at the charity's annual general meeting. As a Council member, John is responsible, along with 15 other members, for determining the policies of Epilepsy Action. Council members are also collectively responsible for overseeing the management of the charity. 

Burntwood woman scales Mount Kilimanjaro for epilepsy charity

A Burntwood woman, whose father has epilepsy, is aiming to conquer Africa's highest mountain to raise vital funds for national charity, Epilepsy Action.

Rachael Edwards, 24, will be attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the world's highest free-standing mountain, over 12 days in January. She will be following in the footsteps of celebrities Cheryl Cole, Gary Barlow and Radio One DJ, Chris Moyles, to climb almost 20,000 ft (6,000 metres). Rachael is launching a campaign to help her reach her fundraising target of £3,500.

Epilepsy advice and information for Wolverhampton shoppers

Epilepsy Action's West Midlands Forum is holding an advice and information day on Saturday 5 September to support people affected by epilepsy in the area.

The event will take place from 9.00am onwards at The Mander Centre, Wolverhampton. There will be a display stand with a variety of information available. Members of the West Midlands Forum will also be there to offer advice and information relating to epilepsy.
