Epilepsy Action Branch Member Of The Year and Highly Commended Branch Awards in Warwick

Christine Gore, stalwart of the Warwick District Branch of Epilepsy Action, has won a national award in recognition of her work for the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity. The Warwick District Branch has also won a “Highly Commended” award.

The Epilepsy Action Branch Awards will be presented by Julie Clark, Epilepsy Action’s manager for central England. The presentation will take place on Monday 11 June at the branch meeting. Timings are 7.30pm to 9.30pm, at Odd Fellows Hall, 6 Clarence Terrace, Warwick Street, Leamington Spa.

Birmingham Voluntary Sector Council hosts photo exhibition

Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is celebrating a photo exhibition and a volunteer award at the BVSC during National Epilepsy Week. The aim is to raise awareness of epilepsy and show that there is more to people with epilepsy than the condition itself.

The celebration will take place on Thursday 24 May 2012 at BVSC, 138 Digbeth, Birmingham, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. It’s free and open to all.
