Kidderminster dad takes on marathon challenge for epilepsy charity

A Kidderminster dad, whose son has epilepsy, is preparing to lace up his running shoes to complete this year’s Virgin London Marathon. Anthony Holland will attempt the challenging 26.2 mile run on Sunday 17 April to raise vital funds for national charity Epilepsy Action. The charity provides advice and support to the 456,000 people with epilepsy in the UK.

Cotteridge man holds race night for epilepsy charity

A Cotteridge man, who has epilepsy, is holding a charity race night to raise vital funds for Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity.

John Corke will host the event on Friday 3 December at 7.30pm upstairs in Tasco’s Social Club, Stirchley. This is the second race night - where guests make bets on horse racing video footage - John has hosted for Epilepsy Action. As well as the racing, there will also be a quiz, stand-up bingo and a ploughman’s supper.

Epilepsy Action Solihull Branch holds epilepsy awareness day

The Solihull Branch of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is hosting an information day on Saturday 2 October 2010.

The event will take place at The Solihull Manor House, 126 High Street, Solihull, from 11.00am to 3.00pm, and is open to anyone with an interest in epilepsy.

There will be an opportunity to take away epilepsy information on a range of subjects, and talk to people who have had similar experiences.
