It Pays To Be Yorkshire On Yorkshire Day

22 July, 2008

Yorkshire Charities Group will be having a double celebration on Yorkshire Day this year, Friday August 1. The group has raised £110,000 from its payroll giving donors and has also reached its 10-year anniversary.

The group is a joint venture between six Yorkshire-based charities to raise money through payroll giving. Supporters can make a regular donation straight from their salary before tax is deducted. This means that for every £10 given, the donor only pays £7.80.
