Ready, Set, Run for Epilepsy Action (Ripon)

John Brady from Grewelthorpe, Ripon is taking part in this year’s BUPA Great North Run in aid of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation.

The race, which is the world’s biggest half marathon, will take place on Sunday 30 September starting in Newcastle and finishing 13.1 miles later in South Shields.

John says: “This is going to be my first half marathon for 15 years so it’s definitely going to be a challenge! I have raised money for Epilepsy Action before through their cycle challenge which I will be taking part in again this year.”

Richard puts on his Running Shoes for Charity (Boroughbridge)

Richard Mitchell from Milby, Boroughbridge, is taking part in this year’s BUPA Great North Run in aid of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation.

Richard says: “Taking part in The Great North Run for Epilepsy Action is really exciting. I am looking forward to taking on the personal challenge and raising money for the charity. I think the atmosphere on the day is going to be amazing!”

A Big Day for Charity (Sheffield)

Rachael Winskill from Beighton had a day to remember when she held a collection outside Tesco in Sheffield wearing her wedding dress. The collection was held in aid of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s leading member-led epilepsy charity.

Rachael and friends asked people to sponsor them for the event which took place on Saturday 18 August. They also packed bags at Sainsbury’s in Sheffield to help raise funds, and succeeded in raising nearly £1100 for the charity!
