My greatest achievement is...

...completing my Masters degree, despite surgery.

The title of my degree is 'Digital Art and Technology', it’s an MRes. I haven't gained the qualification yet, but I have just about completed the course (just a few days to go!). It’s at Plymouth University. The degree was paid for with prize money from the centenary film award that the International League Against Epilepsy gave me in Budapest in 2009.

You can see some of my older art work at - www.ictal.net - I have produced more paintings since then.

It’s been a tough degree because I had a temporal lobectomy in the middle of my second year, and unfortunately I had the wrong part of my brain removed (my left temporal lobe.)

All the same, l have managed to complete, but it was very difficult due to the effects of the surgery.
