Epilepsy Action for families in Aberystwyth thanks to local mum and a ewe

Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is hosting a seminar to provide family support for childhood epilepsy.  The seminar is running thanks to a generous donation from local mum, Ruth Jenkins-Hughes, following the sale of her ewe.

The seminar will take place on Saturday 25 June at St Anne’s Church Hall, Penparcau, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

Anglesey teenager reaches great heights for epilepsy charity

A teenager from Anglesey will be abseiling down an Anglesey landmark to raise funds for Epilepsy Action Cymru.

Gemma Griffiths-Dixon, 14, will abseil down the 30-metre Marquis of Anglesey Column on 26 June. She will climb up 365 steps inside the column before she begins the abseil. Gemma is taking on the challenge as her dad and sister both have epilepsy.

Charity bike ride for Video Telemetry Unit

Craig Williams, from Fairwater, is getting on his bike to raise money for a video telemetry unit, at the Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff.

Craig will endure a 55-mile ride from Brecon to Cardiff Bay along the Taff Trail. Around 100 cyclists are involved in the journey, which departs from Brecon Theatre from 8.30am on 12 June. The Taff Trail is an off-road trail, running along converted railway tracks, forest tracks and canals.
