Two line dancing groups are planning a five hour non-stop line dance to raise money for charity. Boots ‘N’ Buckles and the Hillsborough Hoedowners are dancing on Saturday 14 May for Epilepsy Action Northern Ireland. The charity provides advice and support to the 13,000 people with epilepsy in Northern Ireland.
Saul Anthony, stalwart of the Carmarthen Branch of Epilepsy Action, has won a national award in recognition of his work for the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity.
The Epilepsy Action Branch Member of the Year Award will be presented to Saul by Ian Walker, an Epilepsy Action trustee, at the branch meeting on Wednesday 27 April at 7.00pm, at The English Baptist Church, Lammas Street, Carmarthen.
Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is hosting a seminar in Armagh to provide support to people with epilepsy.
It will take place on Tuesday 19 April at Armagh City Hotel, Armagh, from 6.30pm to 9.00pm.
Morina Clarke, Northern Ireland Manager, said: “We are organising a series of events across Northern Ireland during 2011. This event focuses on the work of the epilepsy specialist nurse in the Southern Trust.”
