Susan Evans, stalwart of the Llanelli Branch of Epilepsy Action, has won a national award in recognition of her work for the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity.
The Epilepsy Action Branch Member of the Year Award was presented to Susan by Ian Walker, an Epilepsy Action trustee, at the branch meeting on Wednesday 9 March at 6.30pm, at the Caemaen Day Centre, Coleshill Terrace, Llanelli.
Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is hosting a yoga and mindfulness meditation event in Cardiff to provide support to people with epilepsy.
It will take place on Saturday 2 April at The Angel Hotel, Castle Street, Cardiff, from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
Staff and pupils at St Machar Academy, Aberdeen, are preparing to put the kettle on as part of Epilepsy Action’s National Tea Break 2010. The school has organised a tea break on Friday 29 October to help raise funds for Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation.
