National Doodle Day is an annual fundraising campaign organized by Epilepsy Action, which is celebrating its 21st anniversary this September!
This is a campaign which brings together hundreds of artists, illustrators and celebrities to create original artworks, which are auctioned across a 10 day period from 26th September to 5th October via eBay. We are incredibly grateful to have the support of celebrities such as Sir Ian McKellen, Dame Joanna Lumley and Olivia Colman getting creative to raise funds.
Learn to Draw a Festive Paddington with R.W. Alley!
Award winning children’s author & illustrator R.W. Alley, has been illustrating Michael Bond’s beloved Paddington Bear books since 1997, and this is your opportunity to learn how to draw your very own Paddington with the man himself!
Join us live via Zoom from 7:00pm GMT on Wednesday 3rd December, where R.W. Alley will be teaching us step-by-step how to draw a festive edition of the one and only Paddington Bear. This will be followed by a Q&A session, so this is your opportunity to ask Bob any questions that you like!
Last years campaign generated over £30,000 via the sale of 550 original A5 artworks, and this year we are hoping to make this even bigger – with some really exciting accompaniments to this years event such as an in-person launch event in Central London, a limited edition range of merchandise and virtual art classes with some beloved illustrators.
Although we are very grateful to have the support of so many huge names in the world of film, TV and art doodling, the continued success of National Doodle Day is only possible due to the involvement of the hundreds of independent artists and illustrators who create artworks for the auction each year. This is a project open for anybody creative to get involved, so to request a National Doodle Day pack, just email doodle@epilepsy.org.uk with your best postal address to receive one in the post.
Doodlers Digest is a 12-page monthly puzzle book, which is full of activities all centred around mindfulness and taking some time out to focus on your mental wellbeing. These activities will feature things such as puzzles, colouring pages, drawing prompts and much more!
For a £10 per month donation, you will receive this booklet via post each month.
We are crowdfunding until Monday 1st September at 12:00pm. If the minimum amount for the campaign isn’t reached by this time, then all pledges will be automatically refunded to supporters.
