We have been advised by Desitin Pharma, the manufacturers of Desitrend (levetiracetam granules sachets), that there is now another version of levetiracetam granules available through a different manufacturer. They have advised that the other version has some key differences.
If you are prescribed “levetiracetam granules”, please discuss with your GP or epilepsy specialist whether your prescription should be written as ‘Desitrend’ to ensure that this is the medication you receive, particularly if you have swallowing difficulties, are on a ketogenic diet or are using a feeding tube.
