Strobe lighting.

At 17 years of age I was diagnosed with photosensitivity which could lead to seizures. As a result my whole life has been affected by this. Theatre visits usually a no as they could not discount elements of lighting, discos a definite no, shows on holiday a no, lots of family tv programmes such as Britain’s Got Talent, X Factor and as I write this, Glastonbury.

How do I feel? …. At times socially Isolated, frustrated and upset. I would have loved to go and see Rod Stewart, Take That, taken my own children and grand children to theatre productions and the like and enjoy a singalong with friends at a music venue.

Are there no campaigns to address lighting issues? I am sure I am not alone in this. I hate to think youngsters should have to go through their lives missing out on social occasions because of strobe lighting as I have done.
