We fight to improve the lives
of everyone affected by epilepsy

Rob Pepper

My name is Rob, I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2001 when I was 15 and I continued to struggle with the condition right up to around the age of 23 when my brain decided to calm down. Although, even now at the age of 33 I still have the odd wobble.

I completed a Masters in Filmmaking at Kingston University in 2012, producing a short documentary on Mine and other participants experiences living with the condition. I am currently researching a PhD at Kingston University, with my subject being Epilepsy and how can it be captured through the medium of digital filmmaking. Explores the stigma attached to the condition, the psychological and psychiatric effects and social and cultural impact and asks ‘is Epilepsy a disability?’ As the researcher and somebody who lives with the condition, it provides me with a unique insight and allows me to approach the project from a different angle.
