Primary Care NurseEpilepsy Action has said it is “incredibly grateful” to Core Prescribing Solutions for their donation.

The funding will be used to support Epilepsy Action’s Training for Primary Care Nurses e-learning course, created to help more nurses develop the confidence, skills and practical knowledge needed to support people living with epilepsy nationally.

Strengthening epilepsy care where it matters most

Primary care plays a crucial role in the long-term management of epilepsy. For many people, routine reviews, care planning and day-to-day support happen in GP practices and community settings.

Epilepsy Action’s two-to-three-hour e-learning course is designed specifically for primary care nurses and focuses on practical, real-world care. It supports nurses to:

  • Carry out effective epilepsy treatment reviews
  • Contribute to meaningful epilepsy care planning
  • Better understand seizure types and treatment options
  • Support patients with confidence and consistency

Thanks to this donation, Epilepsy Action says it can continue to make this training accessible to nurses across primary care, helping improve consistency, confidence, and quality of care for people living with epilepsy.

A shared commitment to better care

Epilepsy Action said it’s proud to work alongside organisations that recognise the value of education and training in improving patient outcomes.

Charlotte Stern, corporate partnerships manager at Epilepsy Action, said: “Support from partners like Core Prescribing Solutions makes a real difference.

“This donation will help us continue delivering vital epilepsy training for primary care nurses, giving them the confidence and knowledge to support people living with epilepsy more effectively.”

Working together to improve outcomes

Core Prescribing Solutions works closely with GP practices, GP Federations and Primary Care Networks across the UK. Their support reflects a shared understanding of how important well-supported clinical teams are to safe, effective patient care.

Adeem Azhar, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Core Prescribing Solutions, explained: “Supporting Epilepsy Action felt like a very natural fit for us. Primary care teams are under huge pressure, and high-quality, practical training makes a real difference.

“By helping nurses across primary care feel confident when reviewing and supporting patients with epilepsy, this programme directly improves care and outcomes where it matters most.”

Thank you

Charlotte added: “We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Core Prescribing Solutions for their support.

“Donations like this help us continue our work with healthcare professionals, improve understanding of epilepsy and ensure people living with the condition receive the care they deserve.”
