We contacted Sanofi for an update on their Epilim Chronosphere (Sodium valproate) modified release granules sugar free.
They told us the following:-
The 500mg modified-release granules sachets sugar free are back in stock
The 250mg modified-release granules sachets sugar free remains out of stock with a provisional return date of November 2026 (previously January 2027)
The 100mg modified-release granules sachets sugar free remains available but it is on quota (limited on the amount a pharmacy or doctor can order during a specific time)
The 50mg modified-release granules sachets sugar free remains out of stock with a provisional return date of end of September 2026 (previously late August 2026)
Alternative sodium valproate products remain available

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has issued a medicine supply notification for Sodium valproate (Epilim Chronosphere®) 50mg, 250mg, and 500mg modified release granules sachets sugar free.
The 50mg modified-release granules sachets sugar free is out of stock until late August 2026.
The 250mg modified-release granules sachets sugar free will be out of stock from early July 2026 until early January 2027
The 500mg modified-release granules sachets sugar free is out of stock until end of September 2026.
The 100mg modified-release granules sachets sugar free remains available but cannot support an uplift in demand.
Sodium valproate (Epilim®) 200mg/5ml syrup remain available but cannot support an uplift in demand.
