If you want to channel your energy into something positive, this Purple Day is the perfect opportunity to raise some funds for a great cause.

You can fundraise your way, with whatever activity or event suits you, and still make a significant impact to the lives of people living with epilepsy.

Everything raised, little or lots, goes towards the life-changing services Epilepsy Action provides for people with epilepsy, as well as its trusted, accredited information, government campaigns, awareness-raising activities and more.

By taking part in Purple Day, you become part of an incredible community of people who have organised events and taken on challenges in order to make life a little better for others.

Every effort counts

Nicola and her family fundraised in 2025, doing sponsored walks, a cake sale, dressing up in purple and two bespoke karate lessons dedicated to epilepsy awareness.

Nicola’s husband, James, and daughter, Grace, both have epilepsy. Last year Grace even did a presentation at her school about epilepsy. Read more about their story in the 2025 Purple Day live blog.

Jessica fundraised last year for her son Lennon, who had his first seizure at just six months old. Since then, Lennon had been in status epilepticus, induced comas and faced allergic reactions to medication.

Jessica and her friends and family took on a 10k walk around Sefton Park for Purple Day last year, raising funds and sharing Lennon’s story. Read their full story here.

Stacey and her daughter Ava undertook lots of different events to try to raise money and awareness of epilepsy.

Ava was diagnosed with epilepsy at 16 months, having had an atonic seizure (where a person drops to the floor) just before Christmas in 2017.

Stacey and Ava held bake sales, with a ‘guess the weight of the cake’ competition, and turned Ava’s primary school and dance class purple, raising awareness in their community. Find out more.

Every effort made to helping bring epilepsy out of the shadows and raise funds to help more people access the help they need is extremely valuable.
