Part of the World Marathon Majors, running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon is the pinnacle of achievement for elite athletes and everyday runners alike. The race starts and finishes in Grant Park, and travels through one of the world’s most magnificent cities. With ideal weather conditions, dry with highs of 19°C, this marathon is an unmissable and highly in-demand event.

You can now apply to run for Epilepsy Action in the 2027 Chicago Marathon. Please complete the application form below. Charity places are limited and they will be allocated on the strength of each application. Therefore please take your time and complete the application in as much detail as possible. We will review all applications as soon as we can, and we aim to get back to everyone with their individual outcome by the mid of December 2026.

Please note that applications that pledge below the required minimum fundraising amount will not be considered.

You must be at least 18 years of age by 10th October 2027 to take part in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon; please do not apply if you do not meet this criteria.

Places are subject to a £75 registration fee, and a £2,200 minimum sponsorship pledge.
We strongly encourage raising up to £2,800 to help us expand our services, which can cover the cost of one Talk and Support Group for a whole year, ensuring a safe space where they can share their experiences and meet others affected by epilepsy.
