National Three Peaks Challenge
is one of the UK’s most iconic endurance adventures, inviting participants to conquer the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales—all within a single, unforgettable challenge. This incredible trek covers approximately 22 miles of rugged mountain terrain, with a combined ascent of around 9,500 feet, making it a true test of determination, teamwork and physical resilience.
Your journey begins in the Scottish Highlands with Ben Nevis, the tallest of the three peaks at 1,345 metres. The climb offers wide open vistas, dramatic ridgelines and a powerful sense of achievement as you stand on the highest point in the UK. From there, you travel south to the Lake District to take on Scafell Pike, often tackled at night. Navigating its rocky paths by headtorch adds an exciting twist, while the quiet of the mountains after dark creates a unique and memorable atmosphere.
The challenge concludes in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park with the ascent of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). Reaching the final summit is an emotional and rewarding moment, offering sweeping views across the national park and marking the completion of all three peaks.
Across every stage of the challenge, you’ll discover some of the UK’s most breathtaking landscapes—from rugged highland plateaus to peaceful mountain valleys. Whether you take on the Three Peaks as part of a team or individually, it’s an extraordinary adventure that showcases the very best of the UK’s natural beauty.
Taking part in the National Three Peaks Challenge is not only a personal achievement—it’s a powerful way to support people living with epilepsy. Every step you take helps make a meaningful difference.
