About the guest speaker role

As a volunteer guest speaker your knowledge and experience has the power to increase understanding and empower people affected by epilepsy feel supported and less alone.

Our volunteer guest speakers can support our service users by:

  • Facilitating an informal discussion on a topic in one of our peer support groups
  • Delivering a webinar on a specialist area (e.g employment, wellbeing, health etc)

How to apply

Please complete the form below so we can learn more about you and your proposed session. The information you provide will help us connect you with the most relevant team within Epilepsy Action who will be in touch to discuss your session.

What to expect after applying

Once you complete the form:

  • A relevant Epilepsy Action team member will review your information
  • We’ll get in touch within a few days to discuss your proposed session
  • We’ll arrange an initial conversation to understand your interests, experience, and availability
  • If suitable, we’ll set up an event or opportunity that aligns with your skills and story

We may request references or carry out safeguarding checks depending on the nature of the session. Please also let us know if you require any accessibility adjustments. We’re committed to ensuring everyone can participate.
