We launched our annual volunteer survey in September 2024 and the overall positive response to the survey from our volunteers was reassuring. We felt happy to know we are continuing to provide a supportive and consistent volunteer experience.
The results showed us we are in line, and in some cases exceeding, the national picture for volunteering. We have taken all the feedback into account and will use it to shape our future plans.
Feedback from the survey showed us our volunteers feel:

Appreciated

Supported

Empowered
Our volunteers said they were happy Epilepsy Action:
- Provides feedback to volunteers on an individual basis
- Makes volunteers feel valued and part of the Epilepsy Action Community
- Supports volunteers and responds to questions in a timely manner
- Communicates and engages volunteers in the wider work of the organisation and it’s ambitions
- Provides a volunteer experience which volunteers are happy and feel proud of

In 2025 we will be working on volunteer suggestions to:
- Share the impact of volunteering with volunteers
- Celebrate our volunteer successes externally
- Explore different ways to keep long term volunteers engaged
- Provide extra training and support for volunteers who are not digitally confident
