What is Purple Day?

Purple Day is an internationally recognised epilepsy awareness day on 26 March every year. Cassidy Megan from Canada founded the day in 2008 to raise awareness for people with epilepsy and help them see that they are not alone.

Cassidy picked purple to represent the day as lavender is internationally recognised as the flower for epilepsy.

Every year, people come together and fundraise to help make a difference for people with epilepsy. You can still grab a fundraising pack and get involved!

I want to fundraise

Why fundraise for Epilepsy Action this Purple Day?

Purple Day is a global celebration of awareness, understanding, connection. It is powered by every day people showing up in simple, meaningful ways.
