I was 15 years old when my teacher noticed I was having blank episodes which after going to London hospital to have tests I was diagnosed with petit mal this later grew into grand mal.

It always seemed a struggle to get through school, then after school every day was a struggle but I fought through it and having had epilepsy for 45 years it is now controlled by medication.

Everyday seems hard but I keep going to prove to myself I can rise above it & am proud of what I have achieved.
