We fight to improve the lives
of everyone affected by epilepsy

Hi I’m Jen and aged 47 and I was diagnosed with epilepsy at 11 months old, which is also when I had a stroke and lost the use of my left arm and leg.

As I grew my seizures weren’t very well controlled at first, because a few times my mom and dad had to get one of the neighbours to come and help as one was a paramedic and as my lips went blue.

Thankfully as I grew up, my seizures became under control for quite a number of years because of the meds, but then one month the doctors try to take me off my meds and I go a month without having a problem and then I go and have a seizure.

So they put me back on meds again and I was ok again for quite a while then on my meds, but then in 2015 I have another seizure because of being so stressed, and again in 2016, but then in 2016 I got diagnosed with drop attacks as well as seizures. This is my life.
