Entries
Entries have now closed for the Bradford 10k.
It would be great for you to join us on the day and for you to help us make the event a huge success – if you are not a runner, then don’t worry, we have plenty of opportunities for willing volunteers to help us out!
If you would like to help out with marshalling or if you have any queries about the event, then please contact the events team at events@epilepsy.org.uk or on 0113 210 8800.
No entries will be accepted on the day.
The course
View the course on mapmyrun.com
The race is perfect for serious runners and first-timers alike. If you are a serious runner then you will be attracted to the course because of its flat route, ideal for runners to record fast times and even personal bests (with results recorded by chip).
Alternatively, if you are a novice runner and you just want to ‘have a go’, then everyone is welcome (although to run you do need to be 15 or over). A ten kilometre route is ‘do-able’ for most people – we can even help you out with a training plan!
Fundraising and sponsorship
Your entry fee will only cover the cost of hosting the event. If you would like to support our cause we ask that you raise sponsorship for the event. Sponsorship forms will be sent out in the race packs or can be downloaded below, or obtained by ringing the fundraising department on 0113 210 8800.
Race packs
If you have registered for the Epilepsy Action Bradford 10k, you will be sent out your race pack at the middle of March. Please contact us if you have not received it within seven days of the event.
In your pack there should be:
- Your running number and chip
- Race information (for example information on car parking, baggage storage, etc) and Epilepsy Action information
- Sponsorship forms
Please note, the above race pack contents are subject to change.
The ‘B Active campaign’
The Epilepsy Action Bradford 10K is supported by Bradford Council’s ‘B Active Campaign’, which was launched by the Sport and Leisure Service over four years ago and is now well established and well respected in the area.
The aim of the campaign is to encourage all of Bradford’s residents to be more physically active regardless of their age or ability, to raise awareness of the benefits of regular exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle and to develop, through investment, new and improved sports facilities across the district.
The Sports and Leisure Service have also agreed to officially include the event as part of Bradford’s 2012 Olympic programme of events and activities.
